Been a while since I got round to updating this – mostly due to work rather than the usual inertia!
The first six months of 2011 have been busier than normal - so no time for my usual hibernation at the beginning of this year - with The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain gigs, including dates in Scotland, an "L" of a tour: Llandudno, Liverpool and Leeds (where I celebrated a "significant" birthday), then on to Exeter, Fowey, Bristol and Yeovil.
Also 2 nights at The Cadogan Hall in London, and gigs in Yorkshire, Chichester Cathedral and The Sage - Gateshead.
Murray Head has been out gigging again in France, at various mainly outdoor locations, with his excellent band - Geoffrey Richardson, Phil Palmer, Jennifer Maidman and Tim Goldsmith.
We celebrated his birthday with a gig in Grasse in March, and have been to Pau, Niort, Lille, Nuit St Georges and Poitiers since.
Other contracts include lots of Tennis related events, various local school events, and a car PA system for the Thames Ditton Residents Association electioneering team!
I've just started a series of gigs with the recently re-formed Home Service Band, (for which I seem to be held partly responsible) and its as though it was yesterday...... Read the story here -
